Services

Not certain about the ideal treatment for you? Opting for a therapeutic massage ensures a personalized experience tailored to your specific needs at the time of your appointment. At Meta Massage & Bodywork, we prioritize individualized care, avoiding repetition of the same massage. Your session may incorporate various modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, cupping, GuaSha, reflexology, TuiNa, Thai massage, and more. Importantly, there are no additional costs for add-on modalities. Your therapist collaborates with you to create a customized plan, considering your medical history, current symptoms, and future wellness goals.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy

Cupping at Meta Massage serves as a method for our therapists to apply negative pressure to your body's tissue. While traditional massage involves positive pressure—adding force to muscles and connective tissue—cupping introduces the opposite force. Contrary to misconceptions, cupping is not painful; in fact, many individuals liken its sensation to deep tissue work. Cupping is not a standalone therapy but is seamlessly integrated into our therapeutic massage sessions for a comprehensive and effective approach to wellness.

Reflexology

Foot Massage

Reflexology can be incredibly therapeutic; by stimulating points and areas on your feet (or hands) your massage therapist can relax your entire body. This modality may be part of a larger treatment plan or a stand alone therapy. Since reflexology does not require you to disrobe or lay flat, it is especially great for populations who have difficulty getting on and off a massage table.

Thai Massage

Massage

Thai massage sets itself apart from deep tissue and Swedish massage in a few key ways. Firstly, there's no need for disrobing; instead of a massage table, a floor mat is utilized. Secondly, Thai massage incorporates more compression and stretching techniques. Unlike traditional massages, no oil is used in this modality. It's an excellent option for those who prefer to stay clothed, individuals focused on enhancing flexibility and mobility, or those who seek a massage with more pressure than traditional methods typically offer.

Facial Cupping Therapy

Facial cupping therapy offers numerous benefits. On a cosmetic level, it can diminish the visibility of fine lines, wrinkles, and facial folds, providing a natural facelift, plumping lips, and aiding in draining excess fluid from the face. Therapeutically, it contributes to tension reduction in the head, neck, and face, alleviating headache intensity and easing pain associated with TMJ disorders. Whether as a standalone session (30 minutes) or added to a therapeutic massage, facial cupping at Meta Massage & Bodywork is a versatile and effective option for both cosmetic enhancement and therapeutic relief.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Swedish Massage

Manual lymphatic drainage is designed to boost the circulation of lymph fluid. Unlike your cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system lacks a built-in pump and depends on mechanical stimulation for fluid movement. This technique aims to assist your body's natural abilities and improve lymph flow. It is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with chronic lymphedema and can also be effective in reducing bloating and fluid retention.

GuaSha

Face roller and quartz

GuaSha is a technique your therapist may use during a therapeutic massage. The stone tools are designed to promote therapeutic inflammation to a region. The intent is to hydrate and warm the area and help your therapist promote lasting results in your muscle and connective tissue.
